
My husband Jim posed under my studio sky light in 1999.He's obviously thinking about something pretty strongly, possibly a painting he was working on. I painted in oils on canvas paper then mounted it on board. I like canvas paper because it doesn't absorb the oil. The paint stays on top which leaves the colors with their original vibrancy. This image is a detail of the painting, there's more background and a bit more of his torso in the actual work. This portion measures 20x18, the painting measures 24x20 in it's entirety.
