Mike Woods by Theresa Oats

Mike Woods is an artist my husband and I have enjoyed getting to know. In the past year or so, Mike has been experimenting with his work by breaking down the composition of his paintings into luminous blocks of color.
In 1999 Mike posed for this portrait in my studio under the skylight. I painted him from life in oils on an 18x24 inch canvas paper that was glued by a professional framer on to a wood panel.
Mike's work can usually be seen at his studio at ''C''street studios during Arts Alive.
