Casablanca Lilies 2--by Amy Stewart SOLD


SOLD. 6 x 6 inch oil on board. This is the second of three Casablanca lilies paintings; I'll put the third one up next week.

This one is also on 1/2 inch thick fiberboard, which is really nice and easy to hang. The board has a notch in the back that allows you to hang it on a nail with no additional hardware. The sides are painted black, so it's ready to hang as-is, or it can be framed in a standard, ready-made frame.

The Irma Hotel was built by Buffalo Bill Cody in 1902 and named after his daughter. The cherrywood bar at the Irma was a gift from Queen Victoria, in appreciation for Mr. Cody's considerable talents.  SOLD

"Elk Crossing, Yellowstone" by Linda Mitchell SOLD












This spot is on the road to West Yellowstone, in Yellowstone National Park. It's apparently a popular feeding and crossing location for the elk – several tourists were waiting with their cameras, tripods and telescopes before the elk even arrived. This painting is 6 by 8 inches and is oil on panel. SOLD

'Casablanca Lily' by Amy Stewart--SOLD


I have one crazy Casablanca lily in my garden that grows to 6 feet tall every August. Last summer I cut it and brought it inside for a photo session. I'm just now getting around to painting from those photos! Actually, it's nice to paint summer flowers in the middle of winter--keeps me warm.

This painting overlooks Trail Town in Cody, Wyoming and was painted last October, when my husband and I took a trip to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. Trail Town is a very cool tourist attraction on the edge of town, near the Cody Rodeo. The skies in Wyoming were awe-inspiring – vast and clear and dynamic.  SOLD
