Out walking on a recent sunny morning I saw this scene along the edge of Humboldt Bay near Fields Landing. Sunlight lit the new chartreuse grasses and the rocky trail next to washed up logs possibly from past commercial logging activity. Looking south, everything was bright but soft in the morning coastal light. Interesting to try and capture on canvas. This painting measures 9 x 12 and is done on linen covered panel.
