'ROCK EAST OF 101" original pastel by Ralphie Hendrix

7 X 5 matted and framed in a medium cherry wood frame. This particular piece was sketched from a photo when I was out and about on a bright beautiful morning early. So the light was there just waiting for me to capture it. I love working with pastels. The sticks in my hand are an extension of my brain and heart.     I love how you handled the shadows. Your use of subtle color and value changes in those areas is masterful.
